Eg. NH<sub>4<\/sub><sup>+<\/sup>, Ca<sup>++<\/sup>, Zn<sup>++<\/sup> etc.<\/p>\n<p><b>Electronegative Radicals (Acid Radical\/Anion):-<\/b><br \/>\nThese radicals possess negative charge and collect at anode during electrolysis.<br \/>\nEg. SO<sub>4<\/sub><sup>&#8212;<\/sup>, Cl<sup>&#8211;<\/sup>, NO<sub>3<\/sub><sup>&#8211;<\/sup> etc.<\/p>\n<p>Depending on constituent atoms radicals are classified as below:-<br \/>\n<b><br \/>\ni] Simple Radical<\/b><br \/>\nThis type of radicals contains only one type of atoms that can be one or more than one.<br \/>\nEg. Pottasium ion (K<sup>+<\/sup>), Peroxide Ion (O<sub>2<\/sub><sup>-2<\/sup>)<\/p>\n<p><b>ii] Compound Radical <\/b><br \/>\nThis type of radical contains different types of atoms.<br \/>\nEg. Sulphate radical (SO<sub>4<\/sub><sup>&#8212;<\/sup>), Carbonate radical (CO<sub>3<\/sub><sup>&#8212;<\/sup>)<\/p>\n<p><b>iii] Complex Radical<\/b><br \/>\nThis type of radical forms by the combination of simple radical and compound radical.<br \/>\nEg.
